Abstract
Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) have attracted considerable interest owing to their ability to transform multiple domains. As the deployment of sensor nodes in aquatic environments expands, efficient data transfer from these nodes to base stations becomes crucial. This research investigates Network Function Virtualization (NFV) capabilities to enhance monitoring systems for underwater agriculture. Agricultural production is crucial for developing Food production, Biofuel production and for pharmacological research. NFV emerges as a promising approach, offering flexibility and scalability through Virtual Network Functions (VNFs). This paper introduces a new analytical framework leveraging the use of NFV based Stochastic Network Calculus (SNC) for investigating the quantitative limits of end-to-end performance of UWSNs. Focusing on both arrival rates and burst sizes, a tandem model based on UWSN communication dynamics is established. Make number of comparisons of analytical model against measurement model on simulation platform for verification of our analytical model as per SNC framework Though we have previously mentioned that the main aim of this analysis is that it will allow us to determine optimal network architectures for UWSNs to guarantee highly dependable and timely communication. This means a comprehensive analysis of various network topics to ensure the previously established delay bounds.
